Clinical Disclaimer
Purpose of the Application
This application is designed to assist healthcare professionals in communicating with patients during neurological and stroke examinations by providing standardized examination instructions and questions in multiple languages. It is intended solely as a communication aid and educational resource.
Not a Substitute for Clinical Judgment
This application does not replace clinical judgment, professional medical training, certified medical interpreters, or institutional policies. Healthcare providers remain solely responsible for obtaining an appropriate medical history, performing the neurological examination, interpreting examination findings, making diagnostic and treatment decisions, and determining when additional interpretation services are necessary.
Translation Limitations
Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of translations, no translation can fully account for regional dialects, cultural differences, idiomatic expressions, speech impairments, or individual patient comprehension. Users should confirm patient understanding whenever possible and use certified medical interpreters when clinically appropriate or required by institutional policy or applicable law.
Clinical Responsibility
The developers make no guarantee that use of this application will improve diagnostic accuracy, patient outcomes, or communication in every clinical situation. Users assume full responsibility for all medical decisions made while using this application.
Emergency Situations
This application is not intended to delay or replace emergency evaluation or treatment. In time-sensitive conditions such as acute stroke, clinicians should follow established institutional protocols and applicable clinical guidelines.
No Medical Advice to Patients
This application is intended for use by healthcare professionals. It does not provide medical advice directly to patients and should not be used by patients to diagnose or manage medical conditions.
Privacy
This application is designed to function without requiring entry of protected health information whenever possible. Users are responsible for complying with all applicable privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA and institutional policies. Do not enter identifiable patient information unless your institution has approved such use.
